About Kathleen

I am a National Board Certified Health & Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC), Functional Medicine Certified Health Coach, Whole Food Plant-Based Cooking Instructor and founder of Nourish Whole Health LLC. I specialize in helping women simplify their wellness journey by making small, sustainable changes that lead to healthier habits, mindset shifts, and nourishing whole-food choices.

Wellness does not have to be overwhelming.

I believe that simple changes in your daily routine can create a meaningful impact on how you feel and live. My passion lies in helping women uncover the ease and joy in their wellness journey, one step at a time.

My training includes:

  • Certification from the Functional Medicine Coaching Academy which is the only certification program designed and delivered in collaboration with The Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM)

  • 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training

  • Reiki Level 1 & 2

  • Certificates in Plant-Based Nutrition (T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies) and Forks Over Knives Plant-Based Cooking (Rouxbe Online Cooking School)

  • A Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Stonehill College and a Master of Science in Finance from Northeastern University

For many years, I balanced a demanding career in financial services while navigating family responsibilities and personal health challenges. Being a caregiver for my parents and brother when they were faced with chronic illness, as well as working through my own health journey, deeply shaped my perspective on wellness. These experiences led me to health coaching, where I now help others create balance and find their own path to well-being.

I believe in the power of small, intentional changes. As your health coach, I will meet you where you are on your journey, help you uncover what’s possible, empower you to take action, and support you every step of the way as you create a life that feels vibrant and fulfilling.

Your journey is uniquely yours, and I’m here to walk alongside you. Take a moment to think about your future and your wellness. Are you ready to make that future a reality?

My story

I find joy in simple pleasures - cooking nourishing meals, curling up with a good book, knitting, and exploring the outdoors with my husband. Whether it’s the serenity of the beach or the majesty of the mountains, being in nature fills me with peace. My passion for health and wellness comes from deeply understanding how much it shapes my life. Taking a proactive approach to my well-being has become not just important, but essential to feeling my best.

My journey began after herniating a disc when I sought after “alternative” ways to heal.  I found acupuncture and began to learn about how my wellness did not depend on only one thing.  In addition, I was struggling with sugar addiction and wondering why I couldn’t lose weight.  I began working with a functional medicine practitioner who was also a health coach.  I remember thinking to myself, “When is she going to tell me what I can’t eat?  What diet is she going to put me on?”  She didn’t do either.  What she did do was educate me about food and its impact on health.  The focus was not on what I was removing, but instead what I was adding. The choice was mine – did want to make a change?  She taught me the importance of real food, how sugar can wreak havoc on your body and how many food marketers deceive consumers.  She taught me about stress and how constantly “doing” impacted my health. She helped me see that I was holding on to grief over the loss of my Mom, Dad and Brother and that facing that was not minimizing or forgetting about my loved ones. She was my accountability partner and supported me in achieving my vision of my optimal health.

Shortly after I began working with her, I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. I was scared after my cancer diagnosis yet grateful for my acupuncturist and functional medicine practitioner who both supported me on a road that became about so much more than cancer. At each stage in my journey I continue to learn more about the importance of looking at my body as a whole and how all aspects of my life (sleep, stress, resilience, movement, nutrition and community) are connected. I have learned to appreciate my body and recognize when it is giving me signs that something is off balance. This did not happen over night. It takes time and YOU have to WANT to do it. If you are ready to start living your life to the fullest, appreciating your body and all that is has to offer so that you can be all that you want to be, then let’s connect to see how I can support you on your journey!
